Are you wondering about the best things to do in Denver? Whether you’ve just arrived in the Mile High City or are considering a move, you won’t be disappointed.

The city has an incredible dining scene, several notable museums, and plenty of fun places to shop, not to mention plenty of opportunities to climb, hike, or get lost in nature just outside of the city.

Blueground’s move-in ready apartments are located in some of Denver’s most vibrant neighborhoods so that our guests can get out and start living as soon as they arrive in town.

Here are just a few amazing ways you can spend your first weekend in Denver.

Friday: Dinner in Highland

The work week is done, so treat yourself to a sumptuous meal at The Fifth String in Denver’s Highland neighborhood. Carnivores can go big with the restaurant’s Colorado charcuterie board, which pairs thin slices of heritage beef and pork from local butcher River Bear American Meats with house-made bread, pickles, and fruit compote. The restaurant offers a prix-fixe menu and a la carte shareable entrees.

Would you rather dine in? Uncle serves up Denver’s best ramen and currently offers both takeout and delivery. The secret is in the broth, made from both shoyu and sesame bases. You can customize dishes to your heart’s delight with add-ons like duck and chicken, and there are meatless bowls for vegetarians and vegans as well.

Saturday: Explore LoDo

Head to Tattered Cover, Denver’s most famous bookstore, to find something great to read. The original Tattered Cover Book Store opened in Cherry Creek North on Second Avenue in 1971 and is now a mini literary empire with four locations in the greater Denver area. The LoDo branch on the corner of 16th and Wynkoop streets is located near historic Union Station and the ever-popular 16th Street Mall.

All of our Blueground apartments have fully equipped kitchens, and cooking a nice dinner for yourself (and maybe someone you love or just kind of like) is the ultimate act of self-care. Check out Pacific Mercantile Company in downtown Denver for specialty Asian ingredients like yuzu marmalade and nori sheets for homemade sushi as well as sweet treats like matcha Kit Kats or Pocky.

Sunday: Head out to RiNo

If you’re ready for another day of exploring, see if there are spots left on a RiNo Beer and Graffiti Tour, a small-group 1.5-mile stroll through the trendy River North Arts District. You’ll see some incredible street art and sample brews from some of the city’s coolest microbreweries.

Feel like staying in? Your Smart TV is already set up for you, so pop some popcorn and get to know your new hometown virtually. Stream a few episodes of Dynasty, the long-running nighttime soap opera that followed the ups and downs of the Denver-based Carrington and Colby clans. (Word to the wise: the remake is set in Atlanta, not Denver. Stick with the 80s version.)

You could also check out Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead, a lesser-known Quentin Tarantino movie that unites Steve Buscemi, Andy Garcia, Christopher Walken, and Treat Williams in a caper-style tour of the city that includes downtown landmarks like the Bluebird Theater and Union Station.

Blueground’s turnkey apartments in Denver are a perfect way to experience one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. with total flexibility.

You can rent for a month, a year, or even longer without scouring apartment ads or wasting time comparing the best amenities for rentals.

A furnished rental lets you live more sustainably in 2021 without ever hiring movers, arranging utilities, or shopping for furniture.
