Miami has it all: fabulous beaches, an amazing art scene, and world-class dining. Now that you’ve arrived in the Magic City it’s time to get out there and see the sights.
It’s even easier to make the most of life in Miami when you live in a turnkey Blueground home.
All of our furnished apartments in Europe, the Middle East, and North America have everything you need to feel completely at ease from your very first day in a new city.
Every Blueground home is laid out by our in-house design team and features fast Wi-Fi, a fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable work-from-home setup.
One of the best things about choosing a fully furnished apartment is that you can spend your first weekend out and about in your new city, not shopping for a mattress or setting up utilities.
To get you started exploring, here are just a few of our favorite things to do in Miami.
Now that you’re settled in, why not enjoy a night at home?
You can make an easy dinner like shrimp tacos or quick stir fry in your fully equipped kitchen.
If you need groceries, our partnerships with companies like Instacart and Thrive Market make it easy to stock up without having to leave the comfort of your home.
Once you’ve got dinner squared away, get to know your new hometown on the small screen. Countless movies have been set in Miami, but it’s hard to argue that any is more memorble than Scarface. Brian DePalma’s 1983 mob hit follows the adventures of Cuban exile Tony Montana as he makes a name for himself around town. You’ll see Miami landmarks like Brickell Avenue and the luxe swimming pool at the famous Fontainebleu Hotel, as well as South Beach.
Get ready to enjoy Miami’s famous sunshine! There are a number of wonderful beaches around Miami, so you can hardly go wrong heading to the nearest stretch of sand. If you want to make a whole day of it, we love the slightly out of the way Matheson Hammock Park.
This scenic park is known for its manmade atoll pool, where swimmers and kite surfers can catch the breeze from nearby Biscayne Bay. There are also hiking trails throughout the park, picnic tables, and charcoal grills. Matheson Hammock Park is also home to the Red Fish Grill, which has a delectable seafood-centric menu.
Miami is famous for its arts scene, with galleries and museums throughout the city. You can hardly go wrong with the Pérez Art Museum Miami, known as PAMM by locals. This waterfront contemporary art museum highlights international artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. There are rotating exhibitions featuring painters and sculptors from around the world as well as more than 3,000 works in PAMM’s permanent collection.
Be sure to reserve tickets ahead of time, as PAMM doesn’t currently allow walk-in visitors. You’ll also need to wear a mask while you’re inside the museum. Leave some time for brunch at Verde, the museum’s oceanfront cafe. There are also amazing options in the surrounding neighborhood, including at the nearby Bayside Market Place shopping mall.
