The world is opening up again, and travel is back on the table. Whether you’re moving to a new city or heading to the airport to fly out for some much needed rest and relaxation, we have some tips to make the trip easier. Blueground is on a mission to enable exploration for all of our guests. Our turnkey furnished apartments in Europe, the Middle East, and North America are designed with digital nomads in mind. Smart appliances, fast Internet, and kitchens stocked with dishes, pots and pans make it easy to feel at home right away.
Of course, travel isn’t rosy every minute. No one likes standing in long lines at the airport or lugging their bags around while visiting a tourist hotspot. Blueground has partnered with Stasher, a luggage storage network that lets you book on-demand in more than a thousand locations around the world.Stasher has luggage storage facilities — a.k.a. StashPoints — throughout major cities. Many of these locations are businesses like hotels, restaurants, and shops that have extended hours, so you won’t need to worry if you’re arriving early in the morning or late at night.
Are you heading out for a long weekend? You could go straight to your hotel from the airport, but then you’re losing valuable time on the ground. For example, if you were taking a trip to Washington D.C. you could head straight to the Capitol Building, the Lincoln Memorial or the National Zoo after a quick stop to drop off your suitcase at one of the StashPoints nearby.
All you would need to do is book a spot using the Stasher app — you only pay for the time you use, not a day rate — and then leave your luggage in storage while you explore.
If you’re checking into your Blueground apartment at noon but your flight arrives at 6am, it would be a shame to lug your suitcases around for six hours. This is another instance where Stasher is a life-saver — search for a StashPoint near your new abode and head out to explore your new city all morning long.
There are convenient StashPoints in almost every city where Blueground has a presence, so it should be easy for you to find a convenient spot near your new home.
What if you’re checking out of your Blueground apartment at 11am but your flight isn’t until midnight? There’s no reason to spend the whole day at the airport killing time. You could find a StashPoint near your apartment and have a long lunch at your favorite restaurant before taking one last tour around your stomping grounds.
Better yet, use your last day in town to visit one more museum in a different part of the city from where you lived. There’s likely convenient luggage storage courtesy of Stasher nearby.
Blueground partners with Stasher and other forward-thinking, convenience-minded companies that help our guests get even more out of their experience with us. There’s only so much time in the day, and we want you to make the most of your hours away from work and other obligations.
